What are the pros of working at your company and/or team?
The company has a strong and unique culture and a people ops team that has consistently hired more people that fit this culture. People are nice, smart, and passionate about the work. My team and project has multiple very sharp and hard working people that get a lot done, stay positive, and think strategically. Benefits are good too. And there is little hierarchy allowing information to flow quickly. Also the company has an empowering and clear vision that leaves a lot of room for growth. It can also be exciting to be at a company that is growing quickly.
What are the cons or red flags of working at your company and/or team?
The main red flag is that they rely on hiring smart people they can throw into newly contracted work won and expect them to just figure it out with little to no guidance. I've seen this work out for them as it only takes a couple strong headed and smart people per contract for that strategy to work good enough, but it's not sustainable and risky. For instance if you just happen to put a bunch of people on a contract where no one feels comfortable sorting through ambiguity. This is something they are aware of and are working on though. It's a common problem of small companies growing quickly.
